Federal income tax law is known in Jordan as Jordanian income tax law , the main federal income tax law number is 57 for the year 1985 and it has been amended by federal income tax law ( temporary ) law number 4 for the year 1989 , that income tax law has become into application by the date of 1/1/1989 until 31/12/1990 .
Then Federal income tax law has been amended by the law number 40 for the year 1989 and that income tax law has become into application by the date of 1/11/1989 until 1/11/1991 .
Then Federal income tax law has been amended by the law number 40 for the year 1992 and then income tax law number 14 for the year 1995 and that has become into application by the date of 1/1/1996 .
Jordanian income tax law is one of the very modern tax laws in the region , and the world that it governs the taxes from a dual prospective , the tax payer’s prospective of the tax and the state’s prospective of it , Jordanian income tax law consists of 53 articles and it is a very flexible law that can be amended easily .
