THE JORDANIAN HASHEMITE FUND FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) is Jordan's largest Non Governmental Organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable human development and to improving the quality of life of individuals and communities, particularly the poor and vulnerable.

Since its establishment in 1977, JOHUD has been actively involved in expanding its community outreach and establishing strong local presence with the aim of working in close partnership with its community based partners. With 30 years of experience, JOHUD continues to take the lead in creating opportunities for the diverse range of communities in the Kingdom to play a central role in shaping their development needs and their country's future. JOHUD established various entities under its umbrella, including; The Queen Zein Al Sharaf Institute for Development (ZENID),
Small Business Development Centre (SBDC) ,and the Princess Basma Youth Resource Centre (PBYRC).

UNDP Jordan
UNDP has more than 30 years of experience in Jordan, providing financial & technical assistance since 1976.

National ownership is one of the most important principles and approaches in UNDP’s work. To this end, UNDP has recently review how it works with its national partners and has developed a new approach that adopts the Paris Declaration Principles on Aid effectiveness for all its new programmes of support. UNDP programmes in Jordan are based on the premise that the government has the primary responsibility for the development of its country and for setting and leading the national development agenda.
UNDP’s current programme (CPAP) is based on the UN Country Common Assessment (CCA) and the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF), derived from, and responding to, the strategic planning
In all these areas of support, UNDP pays particular attention to connecting to the UN global knowledge networks, promoting gender equity, inclusion of youth in development programmes, and the protection and promotion of human rights.

Jordanian Legal Network is a network that offers free legal aid and free consultations to people who are poor and cannot afford it to have their own Lawyer , Jordanian Legal Network also offers booklets to promote Legal Awareness .
